Ukufika Kwenyani (The Arrival of the Truth)

I come from where the rivers are inviting.

I come where storms mean a greater harvest.

I come from where grace is said only when the meal can feed the whole village.

I come from a time when fire meant warmth and security, instead of danger and anarchy.

I am broken, but just like pieces of a magnet, I find myself.

I am however here.

The wine is fresher but more expensive.

I am already here and my background is merely a testament of how far one needs to walk for a clean glass.

I am a woman.

With this faceless emotion, I am a God.
